Sacristans

Sacristans duties include the following:

• opening and closing the churches each day
• preparing the altars for Masses and  for other liturgical celebrations
• stocking the shrines with candles and collecting the offerings
• ordering and maintaining stocks of hosts, altar wines and the many other items which are used throughout the year. 
• care and maintenance of the altar cloths

Choirs

There are three choirs in the parish one to serve each of the three churches.  Their goal is to enhance the liturgy through singing some of the great music of the church.  They practise once a week.  The members attend workshops and meetings that keep them updated and interested.  Anyone interested in joining any of the choirs contact the choirmaster. 

Altar Servers

The altar serving team recruit and train new altar servers.  They also clean and take care of the altar robes.  Applicants for altar servers should have celebrated their First Communion.  They are organised to serve on a rota basis at Vigil and Sunday Masses and at special occasions.  New altar servers are always welcome. 

Altar Societies

Altar Societies decorate the Churches with flowers and floral displays for Masses, First Communions, Confirmations and other special occasions.  New members are always needed.

Church Collectors and Counters

A number of volunteers are responsible for the collection of the offerings at Mass and the contributions are counted at a later time. 

These groups provide a very important service to the community by working to keep the Churches clean and tidy.
